About Us

Firewise Landscapes, Inc. draws on the diverse backgrounds of its key personnel in landscape architecture, forestry, and ecology to develop and implement management plans that are comprehensively functional and aesthetically magnificent.

Firewise Landscapes, Inc. founder Harry Statter is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Landscape Architecture. He has been certified by the International Society of Arboriculture as an ISA Arborist. Harry founded Firewise Landscapes Inc. to promote a blend of aesthetic design with forest ecosystem and forest inhabitant health.

Josh Reed holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine’s School of Forestry, and an Associates Degree in Forest Recreation. He has been certified by the International Society of Arboriculture as an ISA Arborist. Josh is committed to balancing human interaction with a fully functional ecosystem.

Paul Velte holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Vermont’s School of Forestry, and has been certified by the International Society of Arboriculture as an ISA Arborist.

Jason Newsome holds a Bachelors Degree in Science from the University of Massachusetts where he studied landscape architecture.  Jason is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.

Bryan English holds a Bachelors Degree in Science from Paul Smith’s School of Forestry. Bryan is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.
